MEDIA

Painting – 2D only.
Open to all traditional & non-traditional visual artists. All painting media & genres welcome. Artists are permitted to submit up to 4 works. All works may not be selected for exhibit. We ask that artists refrain from sending larger work, 36″ in width. If chosen, artist will be contacted via email. Must be a resident of New Mexico. Examples: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor or Inks.

No digital or commercially printed works on canvas or paper. Work must show 90% use of paint if artist is using mixed media such as collage or photos. No drawings or prints.

(Kennedy Gallery will be announcing its first Call to Artists – exhibition of works on paper in 2026. This will the opportunity to enter works that are not paintings.)

Exhibition Dates: Sept 7 – Oct 31

Reception:  Sept 7 (4-7pm)

If selected : Art work due to Kennedy Gallery between  Aug. 4 -8 during open hours, Mon- Fri 9am -4pm

 If you are unable to deliver in person, pieces may be shipped and returned at the artist’s expense, via UPS. Artist is required to insert PREPAID return slip for UPS pick up.

Pick up of work:    Nov 3 – 7 during open hours, Mon- Fri 9am -4pm ( Please watch for Inclement Weather and closings before heading out)

If shipping work: Please ship UPS with Return UPS label inside package. Ship to:

– Artists are encouraged, but not required, to display works for sale.

– Artists are responsible for delivery/transportation to and from Kennedy Gallery. Some short-term storage is available for pick up arranged ahead of time.

– Works painted on paper must be framed and ready to hang; D-rings & wired.

– Artists are required to deliver work with Artist’s name, title, email and phone number secured to back/bottom of each piece.

– Works must be wired ready to hang on the wall; D-rings & wired (we discourage the use of saw tooth hangers). Without a wire or hanging device, staff can choose not to include works. 

– Kennedy Gallery takes 25% commission.

– Artwork exhibited in the Kennedy Gallery is insured for the duration of the exhibit. (Artist is responsible for insuring art during delivery/transportation/shipping.)

The Gallery will retain the submitted images of artwork and reserves the right to use the images in publications and gallery publicity. Beyond such use, the artist retains full copyright of exhibited work.
